Technology tells the truth - 28th March 2022
Scientists in Israel have some new technology. This technology knows when people aren't telling the truth. It can show when people are lying. This is bad news for liars!
Professors Hanein and Levy made the software. They work at Tel Aviv University. Their software finds two types of liars. Both types move their face.
Some liars move their eyebrows. This is the hair above your eyes. And other liars move their mouths.
In the past, people used special machines to find liars. These 'polygraph' machines checked a person's heart and skin. People use these tests today too. But polygraphs sometimes make mistakes.
The new software can find 73 percent of lies. The university hopes this level will increase too.
In future, their technology will use cameras. The camera will study a person's face.
People will use the technology in police stations and airports. They may use it in job interviews too.
