2021 wasn't only about Covid-19. There was some good news too.
There was great news for women in music, language and business. At the Grammys, Beyoncé won Song of the Year. And Taylor Swift won Album of the Year. She's the first woman to win this three times.
In the Czech Republic, women want to use the same family name as men. In Ukraine, the airline SkyUp changed women's uniforms. Now, they have comfortable uniforms. In Japan, many women are working in business. This is a big change in Japan. And it is helping the country.
There was good news for art in 2021 too. In Indonesia, people found a 45,500 year old painting of an animal. The picture is of a pig. The University of Cambridge gave an important statue back to Nigeria.
And in Mexico, statues in cities are changing. They took down a statue of Columbus. A statue of a local person will replace it. They changed the name of Columbus Day too. This day now remembers the native people of the Americas.
Covid-19 changed our habits. We watch more TV now. We buy more things online too.
Some zoo animals got sick with Covid-19. So now there are Covid vaccines for animals. Covid-19 is part of our lives. But people are doing positive things.
