Is working with robots a good thing? A new experiment says it might not be.
The experiment was at the Technical University of Berlin. Scientists put workers into two groups. The two groups had to look at electrical circuit boards. The boards had lots of problems. The groups had to find the problems.
One group worked alone. The other group worked with a robot - "Panda ". They worked on the boards. At first, Panda found lots of the problems. This group saw Panda was a good worker. Workers felt comfortable.
Both groups spent the same time on the job. But in the end, the workers with Panda only found 3.3 problems. The other group found more - 4.2 problems.
After the experiment, scientists asked workers questions. Both groups said they worked hard. But working with Panda changed the situation. It made workers less careful.
In real life, it 's even more of a problem.
