Liverpool win Premier League - 1st July 2020

The UK Premier League is a football competition. This year, Liverpool are the winners. This was their first win for 30 years.

Liverpool fans are happy. They celebrated outside Anfield Stadium.

Fan 1: "Oh my God, I can't even say how I feel. Amazing, amazing, amazing."

Fan 2: "Amazing, on top of the world fella."

Liverpool beat Crystal Palace on Wednesday. They were top of the league. Manchester City were second.

Manchester City played Chelsea on Thursday. Manchester City needed to win at Chelsea. With a win, they could play Liverpool. Then maybe they could win the league. But they lost. Now, Liverpool are the winners.

The win is unusual. The season is not finished.

Jürgen Klopp is Liverpool's manager. He spoke after the game.

Klopp: "It's massive. It's massive. What we love is when you have a successful football club in your city, it always gives the city a lift. And I think at this time all cities in the world can need a lift, Liverpool as well, and I am really happy about that."
