The cream of Hollywood assembled for the annual Academy Awards on Sunday. They arrived on the red carpet hoping to take away one of cinema's most prized trophies.

South Korean film 'Parasite' was named this year's Best Picture. It was filmed in Korean, making it the first non-English language film to be given the award.

Kwak Sin-ae produced the film and accepted the Oscar. Kwak Sin-ae: "I feel like a very opportune moment in history is happening right now."

Bong Joon-ho, who both wrote and directed 'Parasite', left with two Oscars: Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. Parasite had won four Oscars by the end of the night. The film has already received more than 20 awards globally.

Joaquin Phoenix was crowned Best Actor for his lead role in 'Joker'. Renée Zellweger earned this year's Best Actress Oscar for her impressive title role in 'Judy'. Brad Pitt's supporting role in 'Once Upon A Time in Hollywood' gained him the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
