Milk factory in Afghanistan - 20th January 2021

This factory is in Afghanistan. It makes milk products like yogurt and cheese. The name of the factory is Milko. Businessman Ghami Mia started the factory.

Mia sells milk to local towns. But the area is dangerous. The Taliban controls some places here. Mia pays taxes to the government. He has to pay taxes to the Taliban too.

Milko sells 300 different products. It makes lots of milk drinks. It makes ice cream too.

The business has 250 cows. But it needs a lot of milk. It gets milk from local farmers too. The farmers bring milk to Mia. He pays the farmers for their milk.

Mia likes helping the farmers. But he is worried. The Taliban and the government are fighting. The factory could close. But the government and the Taliban are meeting soon. This could stop the fighting.
