Fire in Los Angeles - 27th January 2025

Los Angeles is on fire. There are 7 big fires.

200,000 people left their homes. 27 people are dead.

One fire burned homes in Pacific Palisades.

Nicole Perri lived there. Her home burned. Now, she's very sad.

Nicole Perri: "I feel broken. I feel lost. I feel devastated. I don't want to have to tell my boys that this is their home - that it's gone. It's so tragic, and I know I'm not the only one. So I feel for everyone who's in this position. I really do."

LA is very dry. There was no rain for 8 months.

It's very windy too. This is good for fires.

The fires are expensive. They burned 17,000 buildings. New buildings will cost $135 billion.
