Valentine's Day ends badly for Styles - 2nd March 2020

Former One Direction superstar Harry Styles has reportedly suffered a Valentine's Day robbery, being threatened at knifepoint on his way home after taking time out with friends.

The mugging took place in Hampstead, North London, where the 26 year old was accosted and had a knife pulled on him. Faced with the thief demanding money with menaces, the 'Sign of the Times' hitmaker calmly obeyed, and was able to emerge unscathed from the ordeal after surrendering his cash.

Attending the 40th annual Brit Awards in the wake of this unpleasant episode, Styles put on a brave face, accompanied by a bodyguard skilled in A-lister protection, who the star shares with Mick Jagger.

The Metropolitan Police (the 'Met') had confirmed in advance of the event that investigations were ongoing into an incident of knifepoint robbery in Hampstead, about which they had been informed on 15th February. No arrests have yet been made and the police are continuing their enquiries.

Styles broke his silence over the situation for the first time in an appearance on last Wednesday morning's edition of US TV show 'Today'. He insisted he was 'OK', but had been left 'shaken' by what was a highly intimidating incident.

The unfortunate victim of a run of unsettling situations, last year Styles had had to contend with months of homeless man Pablo Tarazaga-Orero stalking him and camping outside his place of residence. This resulted in the man receiving a restraining order preventing him from going within 250 metres of Mr Styles.
