Builders find bathhouse in Spain - 19th April 2021

Workers in Spain found a 900 year old building. It is an Islamic bathhouse. In the past, people washed in bathhouses. The bathhouse is in Seville.

The Giralda Bar opened in 1923. It is very popular. It sells drinks and tapas. Last year, the bar needed some changes.

But builders found a special roof. It has 90 special holes in it. These holes are star shapes. There is beautiful Islamic art on the walls.

Scientists looked at the roof. They knew it was a bathhouse. But they were surprised. The bathhouse is in good condition. No other Islamic bathhouse in Spain is so good.

The owners of the Giralda Bar are happy. In 1923, the builders were careful. They saved the original bathhouse. Now, everyone can see it. People can eat in this 900 year old bathhouse.
