Sheep gets haircut - 3rd March 2021 View All
This sheep was found in Australia with a very big fleece. Now, an animal sanctuary has given him a haircut.
The sheep, who is called Baarack, was discovered in a Victoria State forest and taken to an animal sanctuary near Melbourne. Pam Ahern, who started the sanctuary, thinks his fleece was last cut five years ago.
The fleece weighed 35 kilograms. Heavy fleeces can be dangerous for sheep because it makes it difficult for them to move. In Australia, a heavy fleece can kill a sheep because the summers are so hot.
In 2015, another sheep was found with an even heavier fleece. Chris the sheep's fleece weighed 41 kilograms.
Baarack has become very popular on social media. Videos of his haircut were shared on TikTok and millions of people have seen them.
Baarack is happy in his new home at the sanctuary.
