Builders have found the bones of more than 100 mammoths near Mexico city.
Mammoths looked similar to elephants. They became extinct thousands of years ago. The mammoth bones were found during the building of an airport.
The area was a prehistoric lake. Experts believe the mammoths became stuck to the lake bottom.
Scientists also discovered camels, horses, birds and fish. The animal bones date from between 10,000 and 25,000 years ago.
The airport construction work is continuing. 41 experts are managing the digging. They are making sure the bones are not damaged.
Some prehistoric humans used mammoth bones to make tools. Experts hope these bones will help them understand why mammoths became extinct.
