It was his birthday on 30th April. He was 100 years old. He made £30 million for doctors.
To say thank you, the British Army made him a Colonel. Captain Tom got 125,000 birthday cards. They need a lot of space. People put the cards in a local school.
The Queen of England sent a card too. Tom likes this card a lot.
