A new swing in Dubai - 5th March 2021

Theme parks have fun rides. Bollywood Parks is a theme park in Dubai. It has a new ride. It is the Bollywood Skyflyer. It is very tall. Milton D'Souza works at Bollywood Parks.

Milton D'Souza: "Standing at 460 feet tall, Bollywood Skyflyer is the tallest swing ride. It outbeat the Orlando one which stood at 450 feet, so right now this is as tall as the Pyramid of Giza."

Coronavirus closed the theme park. It stopped for a long time. But the team at Bollywood Parks were busy. They used the time. They planned some new rides. They now have 9 new rides. It was difficult to build the Bollywood Skyflyer.

Milton D'Souza: "It is something that has taken us quite some time to build, it took 600 days - another 120 days to install this ride. It has 421 tonnes of steel and that's how we achieved the world record."

The new rides will open this year. The Dubai tourist industry wants to change things. There were 2.6 million visitors to theme parks in Dubai in 2019. They want this again. Anastagia tried the Bollywood Skyflyer. She was one of the ride's first customers.

Anastagia: "It's interesting, it's, you, you see the, the whole city - so it's really freshing and it's really a lot of fun, I really recommend this."
